1st 6 weeks in Review

Ok.....How did it go? I know that it is hard to come back to school after your great summer break. But now that you have had a full 6 weeks of great lessons, what is that one topic or lesson that you liked? What about the one your still struggling with? Let me know. If there is some new and exciting activity you want me to try let me know. Together we can make math fun!

Summer Math

While it is easy to hang out with friends, go to the mall, or sleep a lot, why not try something different this summer? Video games seem to be all the rage. My son is either on his xbox or on some on-line play. Why not try "Lure of the Labyrinth" at http://labyrinth.thinkport.org/www for some great on line play and practice your math skills in a new and exciting way? I have been trying to navigate through the Labyrinth and find myself stuck in places because I am not a typical video player. Ok....I don't usually play at all. My students on the other hand are experts, so the game should be pretty easy.
Now there are a ton of sites to practice skills over the summer and I am going to post the address for these sites over the next week. Just try one site a week and play a couple of techy games, and practice your math skills while you have fun.
